Sisters reunited after 72 years, thanks to Facebook
1/7/2013Sisters Tanija Delic, 88, and Hedija Talic, 82, have been reunited after a 72-year separation, thanks to some Facebook sleuthing. Talic was separated from her family as an 11-year-old in Bosnia when World War II broke out. She ended up in an orphanage, her parents were killed during the war and her brother migrated to the U.S. Her sister Tanija has been living in a village in northwestern Bosnia, unbeknownst to her little sister 124 miles away. Talic's son found his long-lost aunt's daughter through Facebook while researching his family tree and the happily reunited sisters now hope to find their brother or his family in the U.S. [Source]
