Skateboarders totally, like, set up sweet ramp using fallen Sandy tree

11/2/2012

Here's one for the "if life gives you a superstorm, make lemonade" file: Skateboarders in one Queens, N.Y., neighborhood have turned a Sandy-tipped tree and the pavement that its roots have shoved upward into a makeshift ramp on which to show off their ollies, fakies and pivots. Redditors quickly ID'ed the naturally occurring ramp as being located in Sunnyside Gardens. Some vowed to head straight there, while others expressed concern for residents, urging skaters to "be nice." Still others exchanged trick tips. One admirer notes, "So rad." [Source]
