Slacker students want a piece of smart students' high GPAs

4/24/2012

Watch Carthage College students try to convince classmates and faculty that the GPAs of high achievers in the top 10 percent should be redistributed to students with GPAs too low for them to graduate. The students in this clip -- an entry for the conservative Youth America's Foundation's annual competition to highlight what they consider to be the hypocrisy of liberal tax views -- explain this strategy will "better the lives of everyone else so they can achieve that American dream. It's not right for the people at the top to have everything." One student won't sign, protesting, "No, because I worked hard for my grades." A professor is shocked: "This is bizarre, I can't sign that!"
