Sleeping 911 dispatcher snores through emergency call

A panicked Maryland woman called 911 because her husband was turning blue and having difficulty breathing, a frantic situation that was met on the other end of the line with ... a loud snore. An operator received the call and transferred the desperate woman to a dispatcher who had apparently dozed off during his 24-hour shift. Hearing her repeatedly ask "Hello? Hello?", a second dispatcher picked up and gave her instructions over the sound of his zonked out co-worker. NBC4 counted 18 snores during the call and reported that Sleepy Guy has been placed on administrative leave. The patient was eventually transported to a hospital and didn't suffer "any adverse effects" from being exposed to the ZZZZs on the other line.
