Man in Smart Car leads cops on chase ripped from cartoons

Today a man, clearly concerned with fuel efficiency and German engineering in his tiny two-door Smart Car, led Houston police on a ridiculous freeway chase. In a scene seemingly ripped from a Pixar movie, cops chased the man through the city’s west and north sides, reaching speeds akin to, well, passing a semi on a steep incline. The pursuit began shortly before noon when the driver refused to pull over. The man finally exited the freeway and parked in a driveway, where he surrendered to police without incident.
