Watch how your phone will be stolen on the train
10/28/2012The rapid rise in smartphone theft is a hot topic and if you're thinking this crime wave is being perpetrated by nimble, ghostly pickpockets, think again. The preferred method is guts and exquisite timing as this reprobate recently demonstrated on a train in Budapest, Hungary. He's got the timing of the doors mastered. When the door beeps, he blocks it with his foot, waits another second for the doors to start closing, as soon as it presses against his foot he snatches the phone out of his hapless victim's hand, pivots through the threshold and the doors slam shut. Reportedly the guy's been busted, but remember that the snatch-and-run works best near doors. You've been warned.
