Lucky for 'SNL,' mocking Petraeus will be funny for quite a while
11/19/2012Can Seth Myers personally deliver all our news? Something about the way he and the Weekend Update writing staff craft the most ridiculous scandals into hard laughs is just so reassuring and weirdly honest. This weekend's "Saturday Night Live" went to town skewering the ripe-for-parody Petraeus affair, with a skit that included a Paula Broadwell impersonator reading a kinky excerpt from “All In,” a send up of Wolf Blitzer’s coverage of the affair, and this Weekend Update segment concisely reminding us just how crazy this scandal is and just how on the mark 'SNL' writers can be when they’re given a nice fat target. And we're not talking about Chris Christie stopping by. [Source]
