1/17/2013What makes this winter ritual so strange? Not the fact that these Finns choose to strip off and enjoy some competitive snow swimming in the cold darkness. Nor the contorted attempts at tumble turns under the glare of spotlights. No, it's the eerily silent exit of the competitors. After all the noise and cheering during the race, the only sound as they walk away is the gentle murmuring of water. Ah Finland, so mysterious.
