SodaStream ad got banned from the Super Bowl, and it's not even slutty
2/3/2013Is this a case of free markets for mega-corporations and lockouts for the little guy? CBS television banned a Super Bowl ad for the SodaStream home soda system. Why? Reportedly, it's because the ad takes a shot at two of the biggest advertisers on CBS (or any channel for that matter): Coca-Cola and Pepsi. The spot takes an environmentalist swipe at the two beverage juggernauts, implying that if we all owned a SodaStream, the planet could be spared the impact of 500 million plastic bottles just on Super Bowl Sunday alone. So is the ban just good business sense from CBS or censorship? Watch the ad above and see what you think. [Source]
