Toddler gets sauced after being served whiskey at birthday bash
10/11/2012Turning 2 is a major milestone, but one U.K. toddler's birthday party turned into a serious rite of passage when he was served whiskey instead of juice. As Sonny Rees slurped his way through his drink at Frankie & Benny's restaurant, his mom, Nina, noticed he was making faces and took a sip herself. "As soon as I sipped it, I [got a] slight burny feeling in my throat and warming in my chest." Horrified, she realized Sonny had taken about 10 sips and "was obviously intoxicated."
