Toddler gets sauced after being served whiskey at birthday bash10/11/2012
Turning 2 is a major milestone, but one U.K. toddler's birthday party turned into a serious rite of passage when he was served whiskey instead of juice. As Sonny Rees slurped his way through his drink at Frankie & Benny's restaurant, his mom, Nina, noticed he was making faces and took a sip herself. "As soon as I sipped it, I [got a] slight burny feeling in my throat and warming in my chest." Horrified, she realized Sonny had taken about 10 sips and "was obviously intoxicated." Nina whisked Sonny off to the ER, where he slept off his wild bash as docs monitored his vital signs. Sonny's fine, but mom surely sprouted a few gray hairs. [Source]
