We hate it when autocorrect outsmarts itself and makes us all look like idiots. Still, it's a welcome alternative to real life, where humanity is on its own and it's open season on the elementary art of spelling. Our inability to get it right (write? wright? rite?) has reached epidemic proportions — even school billboards tout the excellence of "pubic" education. Is it a lost cause, or can we still fight back? For starters, it might help if everyone got their minds out of the gutter (ahem, school kids). Five "penis" do not make a nickel, Mark Warner is not a senator from the "state of Vagina" and men don't splash on "colon" after a shower. Click through these cringe-inducing mistakes, and then pledge to be a better speller from now on.
