That sexy Frenchman's sperm count may be lower than you think

12/5/2012

French accents and champagne may lure gals into the bedroom, but researchers studying Gallic sperm say that more Frenchmen than ever are shooting blanks. In fact, the average count of sperm in a 35-year-old's semen dropped a precipitous 32 percent between 1989 and 2005. OK, at 50 million little guys per milliliter they can still make babies (15 million per milliliter is considered infertile), but if the trend continues, could the French become extinct? Before you congratulate yourself on your non-French masculinity, consider that little swimmers are struggling in other countries, too. Frenchmen aren't the only ones cooking their gonads with laptops and packing on pounds. [Source]
