'Spiritual' people have issues, but maybe you already knew that

1/3/2013

We all know those people who are like, "Dude, we consider ourselves spiritual, but we don’t really do the religion thing, ya know?" And you're all like "Uh, sure, man." It turns out those people have some issues. A study has found that people who consider themselves "spiritual" are more likely than people who are conventionally religious, agnostic or atheists, are more likely to suffer from mental health issues, including anxiety, phobias, neuroses, eating disorders and drug problems. The spiritual beings were 77 percent more likely to be drug dependent, 72 percent more likely to have a phobia and 50 percent more likely to have an anxiety disorder. [Source]
