Spoiled child at China karaoke party sparks meat-cleaver killings

We joke about it in America, but karaoke is, apparently, deadly serious in many parts of Asia. A dispute about a 4-year-old hogging the microphone at a karaoke party in the Chinese city of Xi'an ended in a double murder. When two uncles could no longer hold their tongues about the spoiled child's antics, a fight broke out culminating in another family member attacking the uncles with a meat cleaver and hacking them to death. The "Little Emperor" syndrome is another sensitive subject in China, where critics say the one-child rule has resulted in a epidemic of over-indulged children. [Source]
