Teacher who used to do porn loses appeal, deemed unfit role model

Fired middle school teacher and former porn star Stacie Halas won't be able to keep shaping young minds — at least, not in the classroom. Halas has lost her appeal to keep her job as a science teacher at Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard, Calif. She was dismissed from the school after hard-core porn videos featuring her were discovered online by students and teachers. A three-judge panel determined that Halas "failed to establish that she can be trusted as a role model for children or an example of redemption" and said her "decisions and conduct, particularly continual deceit, must bring with them certain consequences."
