Stand-up comic gets loads of laughs without saying a word

Lee Ridley wants to get it out of the way early. "I really am disabled," he says at the start of his stand-up set. "I'm not just in it for the parking space." The 31-year-old comic has become a legit overnight sensation on England's comedy scene, despite only two months of experience -- and the fact that he's unable to speak. Ridley, who has cerebral palsy, bills himself as "Lost Voice Guy" and uses an iPad-powered digital synthesizer to deliver his jokes. ("You were thinking 'here comes another wanker with his iPad," he jokes). Ridley will perform at this summer's prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival. "Obviously, I was never going to make this year's Olympics," he said.
