Panic in the seats of Staples: Venue won't go all-veggie for Morrissey2/21/2013
Despite previous reports stating that the Staples Center in Los Angeles would close its McDonald's outlets and offer 100 percent vegetarian dining options during Morrissey's March 1 performance, the venue has announced it will not be going all-vegetarian for the ex-Smiths frontman's gig. (The Staples Center previously denied Paul McCartney's request for the same.) While the center will add "a variety of vegetarian food items" to already existing options and has reached out to PETA about hosting an information booth at the show, only backstage catering will be 100 percent meatless. Presumably, Morrissey responded by gazing out a window and letting a single tear splash artfully on a weathered copy of Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest." [Source]
