'Star Trek' Scotty's ashes go boldly into space
5/22/2012After the successful launch of the SpaceX rocket Falcon 9, it looks like the last wishes of James Doohan -- aka Scotty from "Star Trek" -- will finally come true. Doohan, who died in 2005, wanted his ashes to be taken into space. In 2007 his remains reached suborbital space but were lost for three weeks after the rocket they were in crash-landed in the desert. Some of his ashes were on a SpaceX rocket in 2008, but it exploded and was lost in the ocean. The remains of 308 other people are also on board Falcon 9.
Where would you pay to have your ashes scattered?
