Starbucks employee accused of serving up racist drawing

9/11/2012

Is it national "Beat Up on Korea" week? First Hollister models offended the entire country; now a reddit user is accusing a Starbucks employee of serving a shot of racism with a friend's beverage. "So, my Korean-American friend went to a Starbucks in Paris. Instead of asking for her name, this is how they labeled her drink," gsruff writes, linking to the image above. Starbucks hasn't responded yet, though the company fired an employee involved in a similar incident in February, calling that worker's actions "unacceptable." Reddit users have responded in droves, some fighting stereotype with stereotype. "Hey look, dude, no one goes to Paris to be treated with dignity and respect," one wrote. Ouch. [Source]
