Guess which state wuvs its cuddly widdle pets the most?

1/18/2013

America's pets owe Vermont a nuzzle of gratitude. A study by the American Veterinary Medical Association hails the Green Mountain State as the biggest animal haven in the country, with almost 71 percent of its residents owning a pet. The top 10 pet-owning states represent more rural parts of the country, while the most pet-phobic states are those with the biggest cities. The District of Columbia is in the doghouse with just 22 percent of its residents claiming an animal pal, while Massachusetts and New York hover around the 50 percent mark. Oh, the cruel irony: all those city lampposts and no one to pee on them. [Source]
