Steelers' wayback machine lands them in Twitter jail
4/18/2012The Pittsburgh Steelers unveiled throwback uniforms today to honor their 80th season. The consensus on Twitter, and elsewhere, is that these uniforms are, well, ugly. Steelers fans young and old have always appreciated the team's simplistic approach, but these throwbacks, featuring horizontal stripes and block numbers, khaki pants and striped socks, are bold. One Baltimore Ravens fan tweeted that these will not look good on bigger Pittsburgh ladies. And of course, Steelers haters are having a field day with the idea of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wearing what look like "prison stripes."
