NBA player smacked with $25K fine for badly spelled threatening tweet
12/10/2012The NBA has cried foul on San Antonio Spurs' forward Stephen Jackson. The league slapped Jackson with a $25,000 fine for tweeting a threatening message to Oklahoma City Thunder's Serge Ibaka, after Ibaka tangled with the Los Angeles Lakers' Metta World Peace during a game Friday. Jackson subsequently deleted the post and apologized via Instagram, but not before news outlets picked up the original tweet, which read, "Somebody tell serg Abaka. He aint bout dis life. Next time he run up on me im goin in his mouth. That's a promise. He doin 2 much." They should have fined him extra for his atrocious spelling and punctuation. [Source]
