Sunday's New York Times reports on Apple's alleged secret plan to make an iWatch, but did they bury a more interesting story? The paper reports that prior to his death, Steve Jobs revealed a much more ambitious project: getting Apple to make a car. Don’t write the idea off yet. Two of the company’s senior executives are avowed gearheads, and Google's adventures in self-driving cars point to big opportunities in the auto business for other tech giants.
