What does it take to make a watchable political ad? Steve Martin

Finally, a political ad that doesn't shout at us, talk to us like we're brain-addled water buffalo or make us angry enough to punch the TV screen!  Former Sen. Bob Kerrey (D-Nebraska) hopes to become a current senator again, and he's enlisted his friend Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin) to help him out.  The results are decidedly ridiculous (and hilarious)  as Martin spends his time showing us how to make a wad of paper, while a disembodied arm sneaks in the political bits. Well played, Steve. Because regardless of whether it's D, R or some other letter on our voter registration card, we can all agree that "a good stapler is always very handy."
