'Storage Wars' star says the show is a fake

12/11/2012

Brace yourselves, "Storage Wars" fans: It turns out that the odds of discovering a BMW behind the doors of the most depressing storage units in the United States are actually much, much smaller than the show would have you think. Star David Hester alleges in a lawsuit filed against network A&E that he was fired from the show for complaining that certain elements were faked, and that producers planted expensive items in lockers, including a BMW and "a newspaper announcing Elvis' death." The show's auction company, however, refutes the charges, saying the units were tamper-proof. [Source]
