2013 promises to be the Year of Very Strange Laws
12/31/2012Do you feel like popping a wheelie on a motorcycle in Kentucky? Or selling some shark fins in Illinois? Perhaps you're tempted to release some wild pigs in Kentucky. Well, today's the day, because as of midnight, all of these acts will be deemed illegal. They're just a few of the odd new state laws that take effect in 2013 as America continues to try to dumbfound foreign visitors. For example, in Wellington, Kan., a new law will limit each household to no more than four cats each. Meanwhile, in North Carolina, stealing any unused cooking oil worth more than $1,000 (including the cost of its container) will now be considered a felony. Welcome to 2013. [Source]
