Student says teacher told her to masturbate to pass class

6/30/2012

Students at a Nevada college taking a class in human sexuality found the curriculum asked for hands-on homework. According to one student suing Western Nevada College, students in Tom Kubistant's course were allegedly required to "masturbate, keep sex journals for class discussion and share personal details of their sexual histories, including sexual abuse," for a paper needed to pass the course. Karen Royce said the assignments were a form of sexual harassment. The school said it found no evidence to back her claims, citing an investigator who found that Kubistant "appeared to be universally admired by other students who had taken the course."
