Study finds there are peak seasons for browsing Internet porn
7/26/2012Add Internet porn to produce, television shows and seafood on the list of seasonal items. That’s the findings of a new study from researchers at Villanova University. That’s right: Like oysters or peaches, there are peak hairy palm seasons in winter and late summer. The researchers gathered commonly used porn-searching terms, as well as other “descriptive phrases,” and examined them in Google Trends. What they found was a peak-valley cycle that occurred in six-month intervals. Non-sexual terms had no discernible patterns, but when they looked at terms for dating and prostitution sites, the same six-month cycle appeared. [Source]
