Larry and Leanne got it on and spawned a rare Sumatran tiger cub
2/15/2013File this one under "Things That Make You Go 'Aw.'" A Sumatran tiger named Leanne gave birth to a healthy, adorable cub at the San Francisco Zoo over the weekend. A Sumatran tiger birth is rare not only in captivity but also in the wild, where there are fewer than 400 of the endangered cats left. Mother and baby are bonding and "all signs seem to be positive," the zoo said. The gender of the baby, fathered by a tiger named Larry, who was transferred from another zoo for breeding, won't be known until its first examination in two weeks. It also has yet to be named. Perhaps, in keeping with its parents' names, something starting with an "L"? [Source]
