Unlucky shopper says she bought fake plastic iPad from Wal-Mart
2/28/2013A Wal-Mart customer said she was beyond upset when she realized that the $500 iPad she'd just bought was actually a worthless chunk of iPlastic. When Suzanne Nassise unwrapped her purchase, the Massachusetts woman discovered she'd been had: Her "iPad" was a plastic replica with painted-on speakers. "When I realized it, I was really, really upset," she said. "I bought a $500 paperweight." She tried to return it to the store, which initially refused to give her a refund, citing a policy against accepting unwrapped electronics. That story changed after she contacted the local news. Through the power of anchormen and camera crews, she has since gotten her money back. [Source]
