Swedish woman steals empty train, smashes it into building, cops say

At this point, it's unclear why a woman who tidies up locomotives for a living allegedly stole an empty commuter train from a depot outside Stockholm early Tuesday and took it for a ride, but it's pretty clear what happened about a mile later, when it reached the railway line's last station: The train jumped off the tracks and slammed into a three-story apartment building (see images above). Mercifully, no one in the building was hurt, but the woman, said to be in her early 20s, was seriously injured and flown to a Stockholm hospital. Police arrested her on suspicion of endangering the public. Here's hoping she recovers so she can tell everyone what she may have been thinking. [Source]
