Sweet, friendly rescued bobcat is being taught to be meaner
12/29/2012Chips the bobcat has a problem. She's too friendly. Chips, whose paws were singed by wildfires in Plumas County, Calif., was found by animal rescue workers in August. She was always affectionate with her minders — but now that Chips is healthy and growing, her vets hope to release her back to the wild in the spring. They're now having her mingle with two male bobcats who are appropriately aggressive around humans, and the hope is that Chips will pick up their anti-social ways. "If you have a friendly bobcat in the wild, that's not going to work," one of her rescuers says. [Source]
