The swimming coach from Birmingham, England, was struggling to grasp the mechanics of his new BlackBerry and meant to ask an unnamed lover if she would have sex with him, but he pressed the wrong button and sent the intimate message to his entire contacts list — which, unfortunately, included two teenage girls. Evans was sentenced to 18 months behind bars for "causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity," but he’s since been freed and granted an appeal by judges after they concluded that his "misguided use of his BlackBerry" made it "difficult to conclude that he was targeting anyone."
