It's no surprise that little swimmers walk, run and hop earlier than their nonswimming friends, but the shocker is that the tadpoles outsmart their landlubber peers in intellectual pursuits like language and counting, according to researchers at Australia's Griffith University. In fact, when it came to counting, the water babies were an amazing 24 months ahead of the pack. But if you're hoping for a future Lionel Messi, forget the pool.
