Real pleasant that new version of norovirus, the Sydney strain, which has been sweeping the globe the past year, evacuating bowels and upchucking stomachs in Japan, Western Europe, and since last September, the U.S. The gut-busting bug isn’t thought to be overly dangerous, nor is it the stomach flu — it’s a virus that wreaks havoc on your insides, causing you to clear all decks for up to several days. One researcher called norovirus “the Ferrari of Viruses” for how quickly it passes through large groups. The new Outback strain now accounts for 60 percent of norovirus cases in the U.S. [Source]
