Syrian rebels make DIY tank out of TVs and PlayStation controller

Necessity is the mother of invention — particularly on the battlefield. Syrian rebels fighting against the regime of President Bashar Assad are showing off the "Sham II," their own DIY version of a military tank that features five cameras, several TVs and a 7.62 mm machine gun aimed by a PlayStation controller. The Atlantic Wire described the contraption as looking "kind of like a man cave," offering full protection for the tank's driver and gunner. The tank, which is mounted on a car chassis, cost around $10,000 to produce. Rebels hope to deploy it soon in the city of Aleppo. [Source]
