Taco Bell pulls ad after hurting sensitive veggie eaters' feelings
1/29/2013It's official: Americans are waaaaay too sensitive. After receiving a number of complaints from the Center for Science in the Public Interest, Taco Bell has pulled a commercial that made fun of people who brought veggie trays to parties. "It's a cop-out," the ad's voiceover said. "And secretly, people kind of hate you for it." Seriously? There were people who spent the weekend weeping into their mixed greens because of something mean old Taco Bell said in an ad? Apparently so, because the company has said they don't want to discourage people from eating vegetables. "We didn't want anyone to misinterpret the intent of the ad," a Taco Bell spokesman said. Guess it's too late. [Source]
