2/15/2013Those of you who are nostalgic for the electronic pet toys from the 1990s, that demanded time and energy without providing affection or cuteness, will be thrilled to hear that the wildly popular Tamagotchi is being reborn as a smartphone app. The Android version of the app is being released today, with an iPhone version to come, which offers the classic three button version of Tamagotchi and a modern version with multiple characters, backgrounds and shells. Furthermore, unlike your stupid real pet, Tamagotchi will be able to play "Rock, Paper, Scissors" with their owners. [Source]
