Even the pros must be impressed with high schooler's 96-yard punt
11/1/2012Any NFL teams that are looking to the future and keeping tabs on high schooler Austin Rehkow after his 67-yard field goal might want to make it a matched set after seeing Tate Mathewson's booming punt that covered 96 yards from point-to-point for Lake Wales High in Florida. Sure, he got a lucky bounce. Two, in fact: the first when the snap sailed high and drove him back to his end zone to corral it, the second when his kick sent the ball dribbling out of bounds at the opponents' 2-yard line. Like Rehkow, Mathewson isn't exactly being overwhelmed by college recruiters, but this might change that.
