1/16/2013When the prez rolls down the road next week in this black limo – aka "The Beast" - he'll be cruisin' with a new, specialized license plate message: "taxation without representation." True, the phrase may not be as cool as "BIGPIMPN" or something hip like that, but the announcement today has unquestionably scored Obama huge brownie points with D.C. residents. The city, which pays federal taxes but has no vote in Congress, has long co-opted the colonial-era slogan. DMV began issuing the special plates in 2000 and President Bill Clinton used them in his second term, earning him legions of admiring D.C. fans. Now, if Obama could just find himself a saxophone.
