Basketball fans' 'Silent Night' event unlike any you've ever seen
12/11/2012Nothing says it's almost Christmas more than Taylor University’s traditional "Silent Night" event. Don't know anything about the annual extravaganza? Think it's some kind of caroling concert featuring angelic voices from talented students at the Indiana institution? Come on, this is America — it's basketball, of course, complete with the strange custom of costumed fans refusing to cheer for any of the first nine points scored by its team, the Taylor Trojans. It's when that 10th point hits the scoreboard that the crowd starts wildly celebrating. Then the game halts and craziness takes over (you might want to turn the volume down on your computer). Watch and see for yourselves.
