Rocker and gun advocate Ted Nugent gets invited to State of the Union2/12/2013
Well, this could be awkward. Members of Congress are permitted to bring one guest to hear President Obama's State of the Union address on Tuesday. Gun control is expected to dominate the president's talk, and 20-plus Democrats have confirmed that they're bringing victims of gun violence as their guests. But Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) has given his sole ticket to rocker Ted Nugent, a conservative gun-rights supporter and member of the National Rifle Association's board. Stockman issued a statement about his choice of guest, which said in part, "I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me … After the address I'm sure Ted will have plenty to say." Yeah, probably lots of other folks will, too. [Source]
