Teen athletes stranded on highway after coach's arrest
4/11/2012The parents of four high school athletes probably don't know who to punch first after their kids were left stranded on a Florida highway. It could be their track coach, Walter Chambliss, who was pulled over for speeding and arrested for driving with a suspended license. It could be the Florida Highway Patrol officers who, according to one parent, wouldn't take the boys "to the next exit" after Chambliss' rental car was towed. Or it could be the athletic director at Homestead Senior High who allegedly didn't offer to help get the students home. "It was quite frightening," 16-year-old Eldrick Wilson said after being dropped off at a gas station by a "total stranger."
How would you react if these had been your stranded kids?
