Hospital creates 'cat immersion room' to treat teen cancer patient
8/3/2012Cat photos aren't just good for a laugh — they also have a medical use. Maga is a teen patient at Seattle Children's Hospital whose cancer treatments force her to spend long periods away from her beloved cat, Merry. To cheer her up, hospital staff called on Facebook fans to submit their cat photos. More than 3,000 pics flowed in, proving once again that if there's one thing the Internet is great at, it's supplying photos of cats. The snapshots were then projected onto a tent around Maga's bed, creating a "cat immersion" room. We hope the unusual idea has Maga feline fine.
