Teen's snowball toss ends in 45-foot fall from ski lift

2/22/2013

When coaches tell you it's all in the follow-through, they mean it. An Albuquerque teenager chucking a snowball at friends in the ski-lift chair just ahead had such good form that his throw carried him out of his seat and left him dangling above the slope at Ski Santa Fe. The resulting 45-foot fall left him with a concussion, skull fracture, collapsed lung and lacerated liver, though he didn't need surgery. Ski patrol director Cody Sheppard said the boy was released from the hospital after a couple of days. The reaction from his buddies in the next chair? "Dude!" Of course. [Source]
