Teen goes from paralyzed to ballet dancer in just 8 months
7/2/2012Attention movie producers! There's an amazing, heartwarming real-life story just begging to be snapped up for the big screen. It involves a young man, ballet and perseverance, but it's certainly not "Billy Elliot 2." Just eight months ago 19-year-old Jack Widdowson was left paralyzed after being attacked during a night out in Cardiff, Wales, but this week he's returning to the stage to dance. After the assault, doctors warned Jack's family that chances were high he'd never walk again, so his dad calls his ability to not only walk, but leap about gracefully, an "absolute miracle." And having a dancer's body may have been his secret weapon -- his "incredible flexibility" could have saved his life and aided his recovery.
