Teen shoots himself in the crotch, blames suspiciously unsubtle ninjas

If you're in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the groin, who's the first party you're going to blame? Ninjas, of course. That was the rationale for one Illinois teen, who was taken to a hospital after being shot in that unfortunate area and blamed it on "two men with ninja masks." Problem is, when police investigated, they found no evidence of ninja involvement. (But of course they wouldn't have anyway, would they? Ninjas are crafty.) After some pressure from medical personnel, the 17-year-old, who officials say has gang ties, admitted he'd been driving in a car and playing with the gun (multitasking!) when it discharged in his lap.
