Even the Ten Commandments need to be run through spell-check
11/16/2012Thou shalt covet thy neighbor's dictionary. No, it's not one of the Ten Commandments, but possibly it should be. A new monument to the shalts and shalt nots that God handed down to Moses was erected on the grounds of the Oklahoma Capitol building in Oklahoma City, and it’s already stirring up arguments over the separation of church and ... spelling. "Remember the Sabbeth," reads the fourth commandment. "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidseruent," concludes the tenth. Rep. Mike Ritze, whose family bankrolled the display, called the typos "a simple fix," though the monument may still face a legal challenge. (Can you spell "ACLU?") In the meantime, commandment buffs will keep the fayth. [Source]
