Cops fail to nab alleged thief until an 82-year-old man tackles him2/11/2013
We're guessing the young bucks at the Longview, Wash., police department are a bit red in the face after failing to catch a fleeing felon until an 82-year-old man helped them out. According to reports, officers were chasing a burglary suspect, Morgan Perry Bluehorse, for nearly 30 minutes Friday, tearing through backyards and unable to cage the alleged thief. That's when Terry Miracle, an elderly resident who was outside gardening, sprinted at the dude linebacker-style and tackled him. The move stalled the burglar long enough for cops to catch up. When asked, Miracle casually explained that he'd used his football skills from 65 years ago, employing a "cross-body block." Sure, a cross-body block. Because that's totally something 82-year-olds do. [Source]
