Easter in December? Supermarket chain sells Easter candy
12/25/2012Christmas is nearly here, which means you, the consumer, will soon be inundated with promotions and advertising for Valentine’s Day. Or, if you’re British supermarket chain Tesco you skip past candy hearts and roses and head straight for the chocolate bunnies. The chain apparently began stocking some stores last Tuesday with chocolate Cadbury eggs and bunnies more than three months before Easter. But, after a furor, including a tersely-worded statement from the Church of England calling the move “daft,” the company removed the Easter products from shelves. [Source]
